Math!

Check out what we have been up to in math!

We are fishing for teen numbers, recording our number, and figuring out what one less would be!

In the cup/Out of the cup- We play this game with a buddy. We always start with the same number of cubes (in the photo it is ten). One person hides some cubes under the cup and their buddy has to figure out how many are hiding based on the number that are out of the cup! This is a fun game to practice at home (start with 3-10 cubes, depending on your child!).

Ladybug addition. We are dumping out a container of double sided counters and adding the ones that land red side up to the ones that land yellow side up! .

Changing numbers. One person starts by taking a "fix it strip" and telling their buddy how many bears to put on the board (the number at the bottom). Next, they ask their buddy to change the number of bears (moving up the fix it strip). The buddy must change the number by adding some or taking some away, not clearing the board and counting out a new set.
