Focus of the Week        ·      Literacy: -       Background Knowledge for Lions at Lunchtime (the African Savanna) -       Sight words -       Last names      ·      Science: Tide pools      ·      Math: -       Addition -       Subtraction -       Subitizing (identifying the numbers in a small set without counting) Notes/Reminders      ·      May 25th: No School      ·     June 8th: Tide Pool field trip (rain date June 9th)      ·      June 11th: Family Picnic (rain date June 12th) Things to work on at home We are working on being able to do these things by the end of the year:      ·      Count to 100 by tens and ones      ·      Write our first and last names with appropriate uppercase and lowercase letters      ·      Identify one more and one less than numbers to 21      ·      Read and write our K sight words
